By becoming a member, you’ll connect hundreds of fellow growers across Leeds, all eager to share ideas, knowledge, and a passion for growing your own.
What we offer and how you can get involved
Annual Learning Days: Dig into hands on talks and workshops covering everything from choosing crops and composting, to tackling weeds and pruning fruit trees. Simply book your place online or through your site representative.
Help and Advice: Whether you’re managing a self-run site or facing communication challenges, our friendly team is here to share advice. Drop us a question via our email, or in person at our regular meetings.
Representing you: We meet regularly with Leeds City Council’s allotment team. If you have an issue, let us know and we ‘ll ensure your voice is heard at these meetings, or we can represent your site as a group.
Small Grants for Sites: Need a boost for your site project? Sites can apply for grants to fund site improvements like clearing plots, buying equipment, or improving access. The process is simple: download the application form from our Grants page and submit it for committee review. We ‘ll guide you through every step.
Members’ Meetings: Share your ideas and feedback at our regular gatherings, held throughout the year. Meetings are a great opportunity to connect with others and shape the future of allotment gardening in Leeds … your voice counts.
Shows Gardens & Demonstrations: Get involved with our award-winning displays at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show or help with practical demos at local garden shows – a fun way to learn and make friends.
Online Resources: Our website is packed with guidance, downloadable resources, and the latest news to help you make the most of your plot.
The little Allotment Book is free for members and a helpful resource for beginners.
How to join for just £1 a year! Becoming a member couldn’t be simpler, you can join as:
a site – your allotment site representative collects all the membership subscriptions and completes the form.
